During a news overload I found myself getting depressed, so I had a thought. What if I could leave? But the bad news was everywhere, not just in the USA. So, where else to go but Mars and the Moon? I wanted to experiment with different painting backgrounds, so I decided to make a newspaper collage with the only newspaper I could find – the last three days of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. I cut out all of the most depressing pieces I could find, from global warming and pollution to the Emmet Till murder, and the ever present Trump political news. And I thought I was depressed before I did this! I needed a few days to decompress after completing these pieces.
