Visit Venus (Interplanetary Travel Poster)
So much of space is cold, icy, and inhospitable. But not Venus - where the surface temp is about 900 degrees Fahrenheit. Venus was one of the first planets that I did. There is something about the thermal image of Venus that lends itself really nicely to inks and watercolors, and it was a lot of fun to do. Venus gets a bad rap, on account of all the molten metals and sulphuric acid in the atmosphere, but there is so much more to the planet than that! Come and see for yourself! Visit Venus - Warm and Welcoming!
12 posters available, each inspired while I was in a quarantine-based lockdown while I was working in Saudi Arabia, and dreaming of all the places I wanted to go and see! It started with Mars - then it went to the rest of the planets. And then I thought I might as well just make it an even dozen! All done in the final 6 months of 2020.
This giclée is printed onto high quality, Innova Rough Textured fine art paper which is 315gsm (gsm = grams per square meter, it means the paper is thicker/heavier). Almost all of my printing is still taken care of by my friends down at PGH Print Ship, a great local print shop who does fantastic work.
Prints are all 12x16” including a 1” white border.
